The trade you are making
This is the highest weekly range we run, and the reason is not complicated: you are out about two weeks at a time. Nobody here is going to dress that up. If what you need is to be in your own driveway every Friday night, one of the regional lanes is the better fit, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have given notice somewhere else.
What you get for it is the top of our pay scale — up to seventy-five cents a mile, sixteen hundred to twenty-two hundred a week — and three thousand dollars in sign-on money.
The truck
An assigned 2025 Peterbilt 579 UltraLoft or a 2026 Freightliner Cascadia. Assigned means assigned: it is your truck, it stays your truck, and nobody else sleeps in it while you are home. We do not slip-seat.
That matters more than it sounds like it does. A driver who is out fourteen days is living in that cab, not visiting it.
Where you run
The Deep South and east of I-35. You are not going to be dispatched to Seattle.
What comes with it
Full medical through UnitedHealthcare, plus dental, vision, life and AD&D. Short-term and long-term disability that Empire pays for rather than offers. A 401(k) with a company match. Paid vacation. And a pet policy and a rider policy — two weeks is a long time to be by yourself.
